IDEAWorld Expo Fitness and Foodie Finds

The IDEA World expo is like the mutha of all fitness product expos. Hundreds of fitness products, healthy food products, apparel brands and more.

It’s a little overwhelming the first time you walk in. Sometimes it’s just best to lay down and chill first…

Well, not really. That’s just us BlogFest roomies being silly. BUT this expo comes with a map, and we definitely needed it.

Every year I walk away having discovered a few new brands and products. This year even moreso thanks to some of the brand surprises we got in our BlogFest goodie bags.

Like this UnderArmour 39 Performance Monitor:

It connects to a smartphone app and measures heart rate, intensity and calories burned to come up with their little “willpower” number. Love that. I am excited to try this out.

Another find that needs to get road tested soon: the Reebok One Cushion running shoes.

Reebok gave a pair to all of us bloggers, very generous! Have you noticed their new logo and branding? They now use the delta symbol always, and it’s meant to encourage change – physical, mental, social. Very cool.

The expo is especially good for finding new healthy snacks. You could eat a small meal by sampling your way through the expo, actually. I may or may not have done that. Totally did.

I found the Quest booth of course, but I already knew how awesome those are for a Primal treat!

I also found some new goodies, including the About Time line of Paleo protein bars made with liquid egg whites to give each bar 11 grams of protein.

These are really tasty, kind of like a Larabar. I’m going to need to get my hands on more of these!

Another find was the Go Macro booth.

These vegan bars aren’t fully Paleo, but I love their commitment to using sustainably sourced, whole organic ingredients and to giving back to the community. These come in 11 flavors including sunflower butter and chocolate. Yum!

Lorna Jane had a huge booth at the expo for her apparel line, and she also gave each of us BlogFest bloggers a ribbed inspiration tank from her line.

She is one of the sweetest women, and it’s always so encouraging to meet a female entrepreneur keeping it real – and keeping it kind.

Love the tank I got: Amazing Takes Work. Amen.

So there you have it, a few new things to try! And enter the giveaway below to win a big 8-pack box of the newest Quest treats – high-protein chips!

My favorite thing is being able to touch/feel things that previously I could only explore online. Some items don’t translate well on screen!

I’m always on the lookout for new, great products so I’m glad to see your thoughts on some of these!

I’ve actually never been to a fitness expo other than pre-race for half marathons, but this one looks AWESOME. I’m envious! I think I would love sampling the different workout classes best!
